So this is interesting…. The video below is from Layla Black.

Layla and her husband Toby were recently terminated by their Network Marketing Company. The reasons weren’t given on the video, but basically it came down to a Policies and Procedure issue. Toby and Layla didn’t comply, so the company took their check and forced them into silence. Meaning they couldn’t even contact any member of their team to say goodbye.

So I’ve got some questions:

Did the lead generating system they were using conflict with the Policies and Procedures of their primary company?

Were they recruiting people into both companies, thus breaking the “Cross-line Recruiting” clause in the policies?

When they were making $500 a month, they were doing the same thing as when they were making $25k a month…. Why did their company wait so long to terminate them? Do you think it’s because the company knew they were the type of people who could build a huge downline, so they waited until it was substantial enough to steal their check?

Or, could it be that at $500 a month or even $1,000, $2,000 a month they weren’t on the company’s radar? But at $25k a month they’re now “Leaders” so all eyes are on them and every move is watched? Hmmmmm…

We’ll probably never know the answers to these questions, but we should all think about them very seriously, because it’s a reality we all face. That’s why I stress and have stressed for the last 4 years that people really need to get educated and read their Policies and Procedures and understand what they say and what they mean. This is both our current and future income we’re talking about.

Please don’t think this is an isolated case either…. It happens all the time. More often than you think. We’ve picked up the pieces of countless people who have lost everything and have to start over.

Think about it for a second… This is not some job where if you get fired, you can go out and get another job (hopefully) making the same wage as you were making before. This is Network Marketing where if you leave or get terminated you have to start over. FROM ZERO! And it will take some time to build back up to $25k, $50k, $100k a month! And if you’ve been in this industry any length of time, that’s not an easy thing to do. Yes you have more experience, and it might be a little easier and quicker, but it’s still a lot of work!

So what’s my point? Read your company’s Policies and Procedures. Understand them. Know what you can and can’t do. Know where you stand.
